Carrot and Peanut Butter Dog Treats
If you are spending more time at home, now is a great time to make some healthy homemade dog treats for your best pal who is hard at work keeping you company and entertaining you. These treats are crunchy and tasty and FULL of essential vitamins and minerals like beta carotene, vitamin K, potassium and more. It’s a no-brainer that you’d want to add more carrots to your dog’s diet! This recipe also uses The Honest Kitchen dehydrated food which we love because it is wholesome and 100% human grade. 2 1/4 cups whole-wheat flour

3/4 cup the Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food

1/3 cup oats
-
1 tablespoon baking powder
-
1 large carrot shredded
-
1 cup peanut butter (without Xylitol)

1 cup water
-
1 egg
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, water, egg, and carrot together.

Add dry ingredients. The dough should be thick and heavy.

Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to 1/4″ thickness.

Cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Arrange on the baking sheets.

Bake for 20-23 minutes, or until lightly browned..

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before serving.

Note: Baking time will vary depending on the size and thickness of the treats.
